Dreamboats and Petticoats...a fun night out.

Last night we had the great luck to be given some free tickets to go and see Dreamboats and Petticoats at the Savoy theatre in London. We drove up and parked nearby, strolling through Trafalgar Square to reach the theatre. It turned out that we had fab seats, centre stalls.

The show was the first real musical show in a proper theatre that the boys had been to. It was a real blast, full of brilliant songs from the 50's and 60's, live music ( son#2 was especially impressed by the saxaphones) and some gorgeous costumes ( I do like a bit of sparkle!) This was the last night of preview shows and the cast didn't put a foot wrong - they were vibrant and enthusiastic with really beautiful voices.

We ended up, much to the embarrasssment of our children, dancing away to the finale with the cast and most of the audience. You get to a certain age, I tried to explain to my boys, where the music takes you away and you just don't care what anyone thinks of you!! Anyway, it was a sweet show that I reckon anybody would find hard not to enjoy. How lucky are we to have had such a fun night out!!

Sounds fab. I love all the west end shows, there aren't that may here - unless you include camel racing ;0)
