17th Anniversary celebrations...

Its our anniversary today!! Yippee!! Seventeen years of wedded bliss. Ever since I hunted my Man down and stalked him relentlessly until he broke and asked me to marry him, we have been happy - like bees around honey. I was, frankly, amazed when we hit our 3 month anniversary so to have made it to 17 years is incredible. Before that I had always been chucked by my men!!

We celebrated last night with a bottle of vintage Dom Perignon, donated kindly to the cause of wedded bliss by my husband's boss. Good man!! How lucky are we to have a bottle of such scrummy champagne?!

My poor man has to work tonight so we went out yesterday for a nice lunch and spent yesterday evening relaxing with our champagne and some smoked salmon. The most special thing about this anniversary is that after all this time he still makes my heart skip when he walks into the room. Despite everything he still makes me laugh and I still think he is the dishiest man I know. He is kind and funny and doesn't let me take myself too seriously. At the same time he supports me in all my endeavours with patient enthusiasm...

We have been together now, altogether, for 23 years, an amount of time that I can't quite believe. It has flown by - well for me anyway. My husband says it feels like the full 23 years...

Congratulations; I wish I could find someone to be as happy with as you are - I felt quite teary with self-pity as I read it actually!

You've done amazingly well to have lasted that long & to still be so in love. I feel really, really happy for you.

It's amazing to think that you've been together since I was 14 though!

Congratulations! I've been married 21 years and can't hardly believe it.

At times it seems like just a few years and other time it seems like 21 years.
