Have I peaked too soon??? Award winning blogger panics horribly...

Over the last couple of days my blog has blasted off into the stratosphere as far as I am concerned. However, I think I may well have peaked too soon. The lovely Mr London Street kindly gave my post about my dad an award on his 'That was the Week that Blogged' spot and all of a sudden I have had lots and lots of visitors coming to read my stuff.

Well...that's magnificent isn't it?? But, bloody hell.... what on earth can I write now?? My 'dad' post was, as usual, from the heart and just came to me as I sat at the computer, having spent that night sobbing quietly into the duvet...But that doesn't happen very often does it? And if it did you would all be fleeing in droves from the misery of my life!!

So... I am left with a dilemma... what can I write about now? Shall I just accept that my moment of glory is over? Shall I bow gracefully into retirement? Or shall I rummage about in the depths of my soul to find more skeletons in the family cupboard? Believe me, there are a lot in my family... Shall I attempt to write gorgeous flowing prose? That's the thing, isn't it? Whatever I write for the next few posts I will be trying to live up to my 'dad' post... And I will never do that because it was a one off...

I think I just have to face the fact that 'what will be, will be' 'que sera, sera...' I write for enjoyment, for therapy, for huge amounts of money  sorry... huge pleasure and I am just dead chuffed if you enjoy what I write too.If Mr London Street sent you, then you are very welcome. If my posts never quite live up to my 'moment of glory' post? Well, please forgive me...

I love it when people come by here and read and comment. It makes my day. So... thank you for coming and as Abou from the Simpsons would say.... ' Please... come again! '

Oh, I think you will be nominated again soon. Life will throw you something (hopefully good) that will unleash the emotions and you will put forth another post full of heart.

Don't worry, my dear......you have the talent for blogging. Your uneasy musings and hand wringings are perfect....what any star blogger would feel and express. You don't have to hit home runs every day.....just blog on.

To thine own self be true and that is good, will follow.

I'd be really worried if I was you - cos you're usually really boring...

Just joking my friend, I'm fascinated by your life which couldn't be more different than my own - yours is often sober & filled with more children, gardening & housework than mine!

Well done my blogger friend. x

I wouldn't worry about what to write about. Nobody minds if you are less frequent in posting for a time. If like a particular blogger, I will put their feed into my reader, and then I forget about it until the next time they post. In fact, if someone blogs too frequently, I am apt to remove them from my feed, cause I only have so much time in the week to be reading blogs.

There's totally pressure isn't there? ;) Oh, the sadness when a post has zero comments. I feel ya sister! I vow to keep coming back to your blog...you can count on me for comments! ;)

It was a beautiful blog, and I am sure there will be more. Don't worry about it and just be you.

When I Follow a blog it's just an instinctive reaction to what I've read or seen. I like what they have to say and I like how they say it. Occasionally I think would I relate to this person in everyday life?

And I never Follow based on one post, always read back to see if I feel a connection.

I don't usually comment at such length but want to assure you that my return is not just based on the brilliance that was spotted by Mr London Street. Oh, and you have a lovely smile. In my everyday life a friendship always starts with a smile!

Just keep writing from the heart - basically we're all made from the same stuff and if you can write in a way we can all relate to (and you certainly can), you're a winner! I love reading your posts. Congrats on the award by the way.

Great that you won an award - well done! I guess that shows you're onto a good thing so I don't think you need to fret too much about future blog posts. Sounds like you can happily keep doing what you're doing ;-)

Well done! I know what you mean about being lost for words. I too recently experienced some success and was asked to write a guest post for th Evening Standard. Do you think I could find my funny bone? All that was left was my arm hanging like a gelatinous mess. Keep at it. You love it. That sense of enjoyment will catapult you through the hump.

I think you need to get rid of the 'Unknown' in the title of your blog now that you have become well-known thanks in large measure to the award bestowed upon you by Master Blogger Mr London Street! That's how I found out about you.

And if you feel yourself drying up for subjects, why not return to the theme of your award-winning 'Dad' post. I'm sure you can think of a lot more to say about your father, can't you?

Keep up the good work!
