Ooooh I've gone all New Age.........

Now, I wonder if you have had Reflexology ? I had a session years ago and loved it, and last week I went again. My state of insanity pushing me to the boundaries of medecine !! If you don't know about Reflexology it follows the theory that the nerve endings relating to all parts of the body end in the feet and if you massage the feet you will be in tune with the energy of the body, feeling crystals at the end of the nerves that relate to "stuff going wrong " in the part that nerve comes from.

Well, I know what I mean, I'm just not great at descrbing it. My apologies to any proper Refexology Practitioners out there.

The lady who did my treatment was wonderful and pinpointed stuff that I really don't know how she could have known. I look pretty healthy on the outside, after all. The treatment was an hour and a half of absolute bliss. I kept drifting in and out of sleep, to the gentle sound of watery, lapping music and candles and incense.
At the end I was told that I was chronically dehydrated ( but I drink a cup of tea a day !!! ) and other stuff that was very very startling really. And I know it sounds melodramatic, but when she started she placed her hands against the soles of my feet and I fely this great surge of energy through my body - so much that I nearly burst into tears. Very odd.
All in all it was an amazing experience and one that I would highly recommend to you. What she told me was so accurate. And what I really liked was the way she reacted when I asked how often I should come. " You will know when its right for you, when you need it. " she said. Not " Come twice a week for a year ".
Since the session I have been drinking masses of water ( about 1.5 - 2 litres a day ), eating lots of fruit and veg ( about 8 -10 portions a day ) and I have cut out tea and coffee and bread. I can't believe how much better I feel - far less bloated. I am going to try and eat chicken & fish and not too much red meat. We'll see how it goes. I'm going to wait a couple of weeks and go again - maybe once a month. It all depends on how I feel, but I'll be interested to see if she can feel a difference !
Now, excuse me, I'm just off to light my incense, chant and wrap my legs around my neck.....

If it makes you feel good . . . then it's the best medicine in the world! I have never tried it, but know people who swear by refelxology. Personally, I prefer tequila with a beer chaser.

Sounds like a well-needed break!
I am also trying to reduce my caffeine. I don't drink coffee, but I drink too much pop and sweet tea and not enough water. I noticed a couple of days ago that when I limited those drinks and replaced them with water, the stupid eczema on my hands got better. It's back now... probably from my laziness.

Argh...
