Sunday Roast and Happy Family Quizzes.

At the moment the boys are having baths while my Man asks quiz questions. Today I had a real treat as my Man cooked the Sunday roast for us. He made:

  • roast chicken
  • roast potatoes
  • roasted butternut squash
  • broccoli
  • carrots
  • red wine gravy followed by :
  • apple and plum crumble with cream

He is the perfect man !!!

He not only cooked everything from scratch, he did it with a smile on his face and cleaned up as he went along !! Does a man get any more perfect ?! We all sat round the dinner table and answered quiz questions. Its kind of a favourite of ours. Someone bought us a whole collection of quiz question books one Christmas and we all like to have a go.

I love it when my Man is off on Sundays. It just makes life so much more normal and pleasurable. He seems very happy at the moment which is lovely. I think that this could be caused by the fact that he treated himself to some custom made golf clubs this week. He was measured up by an amazing chap and now has clubs to suit his swing, height etc. He hits a golf ball a heck of a long way anyway, but when he took them to the driving range on Friday he was constantly hitting the back fence. And this was with the ball in mid flight !!Good on him!

Now we are going to put the boys to bed and open a nice bottle of red. Yum. I feel very happy.

A perfect evening indeed... I understand you feel happy! My man made dinner tonight, I got home from work at eight, into a warm house full of the smells of a hot, delicious dinner and candles. Nice to have it the other way round sometimes : me going to work and coming home to find dinner ready...
Perfect men do exist ;-)
