Taxes and tennis...

The day started well... I went into town to deliver clothes to the Charity shop and to spend my vouchers that had been given to me by the children in my class at school. I also spent vouchers left from my birthday. I splashed out on exotic luxuries like a bottle of Chanel No 5 and Tisserand Rose body lotion and then treated myself to a pair of potato scraping gloves. The sublime to the ridiculous !!

I was beginning to consider myself a very organised and thoroughly gorgeous smelling person. The fragrance continued as the day progressed, but the thought of being organised diminished. I had to phone up the tax people to sort out my Annual Tax Review...

Oh My God !!! What is it about those forms ?? Less than 1/2 a sentence in and it all blurs over. I am soooooooooo not interested/ incapable of working them out. It is only the threat of jail that compells me to finish them. I always end up phoning the department for help, because I just cannot fathom what they are talking about. I think it is all done now. I have written a covering letter and just hope that they understand what I am blathering on about.

Yet another reason for me to hate Gordon Brown..... GRRRRRR!!!
Still, on a happier note I took the boys to play tennis. The club was deserted and they played together, with son# 2 winning by 4 games to 3. It was very close and despite having to spend quite a lot of my time counselling the two young fellas on " how to be a winner/ loser " " just enjoy the game " etc etc I really felt happy to see them both playing so well. I am determined that at least one of them will succeed professionally at at least one of the sports they play. Someone has to look after me in my old age - especially as bloody Gordon Brown is taking most of my money through taxes...

I love your sketches. They're adorable!

I don't know how different taxes are in the UK, but we always send ours out to be done. I don't want to go to jail....give it all to the accountant!
