Cold days and bubble baths..........

Goodness me, what a cold day it was today !!! Probably not to those of you who live in really cold, snowy countries, but for us here in little old England it was COLD !!

I went to watch my eldest at football practise and really had to wrap up warm - even so I got a real breeze up my trousers that was not at all welcome !! Still I was warmed by the news that the coach told #1 son he was the best player in the team !!

Back at home I was looking at another family blog when I read a piece by my cousin. I haven't seen him for years and was so interested to learn that he is an artist. A real live artist, earning a living from his work. Its very modern, not so much drawings or the like, but amazing ideas.

My favourites were Speeches where he was filmed performing famous speeches ( Martin Luther King, Kennedy, Mandela ) and Borrow Me where he had people in a library that could be loaned out for the day as opposed to books !

I think he is so cool !!

I was reading a blog I visit every day 'Ratroutus' and was struck by the beautiful poetry on there. Isn't it incredible how talented some people are ? All individuals, working away on something they love, not really looking for the fame or fortune that seems so important in our world today and yet infinitely more gifted than the 'celebrities' famous for being famous.

I look at these people and feel inspired.

Oh, and as for the bubble bath in the title ? That comes now. Goodnight !

Thank you so much for reading my blog. Even more, thank you for leaving the comment you did, when you did.

I think I'm with you on the cold day/bubble bath train of thought. It's a great idea. I'll be back!

Thank the heavens Soccerchica is playing indoors right now (read - snow too deep) so I don't have to endure the exact things you are talking about. Believe it or not, I miss them. Only three more months and we are back outside! But keep warm and maybe I'll knit you some mittens and hat. :-)
