Sticking & paint & houses & igloos.....

A good day today, spent up to my elbows in glue and paint, cardboard and scissors! The children have been making houses, which is not as easy as it sounds. Their idea of architecture is glueing as many yoghurt pots and mini cereal boxes as possible together. Which is all good, except when you want their creations to look like a village for Open Night !! So its a case of gently guiding them and ensuring that their terraced houses do look quite like terraced houses, with roofs, walls, windows, you know ? In the end you don't want perfectly designed designer houses, but something in the middle of perfect and disaster!

So we now have a small village in our classroom - complete with castle, row of Victorian terraces and......

wait for it......

an igloo. Not an architectural style that is awfully prevalent in Hertfordshire, but there you go.

I'm off out tonight with girls for a meal. I'll take my camera and maybe got some photos for you !! In the mean time I'm off to visit your blogs. Here I come...........................
