For those of you who know me or read my blog more than once.... you will know that my boys are into football, soccer, the round ball on a muddy field... I am a dedicated football mum.... travelling to training on a Monday night ( 6-7pm ) training on a Tuesday night ( 5.30 - 7pm ) matches on a Saturday ( any time from 9am start to 11 am start )
I drive and walk relentlessly around the countryside supporting both boys as best I can. By the time the season ends in mid June I am heartily sick of having to get up early on my day off to take them to the depths of the English countryside for yet another match.
So, you can imagine my joy when I was informed today ( JULY 14TH, JULY 14TH ) that we have a match this Saturday. WHATTTTT ???????? But this is the off season !!! This is Summer !!!!
You would think my lovely hubbie would support my horror, but I appear to be in the wrong. It is "ok" to arrange matches in July. I am out of order to object. I have to take my son at some God Awful time on Saturday morning to run round another bloody pitch. Of course I will, because I am a good mummy....
BUT I DON'T HAVE TO LIKE IT!!!!!
MUMS AGAINST FOOTBALL UNITE. BAN FOOTBALL BETWEEN JUNE AND SEPTEMBER. BAN FOOTBALL.

I feel your pain. My oldest plays football/soccer year around! Some days I just want to pull my hair out. We have even had games on Mother's Day!!
Let's unite and boycott the whole thing! :-)
I am not a Mum yet but I completely agree and join you on this.
Boycott football matches as best we can.
