I have been watching a programme on Channel 4 about Willie Harcourt-Cooze, an eccentric Englishman with a passionate obsession. His obsession is chocolate - and not your ordinary, run of the mill chocolate. This chocolate, grown in his own farm in Venezuela is 100% pure cacao and suitable to be used in cooking like a fine spice, or eaten in his Willies Delectable chocolate bars.
I have to admit, I am not a chocoholic - I could quite easily pass my days without the stuff passing my lips, but this progamme, and the irrepressible Willie has fired my interest. His chocolate is made in his own small factory in Devon and he ensures that it is pure and unsullied by chemicals or vast loads of sugar and fat found in your usual chocolate bar.
But could I find his web site? Could anyone??It would seem pretty impossible to find, but I did not give up and hence the link on any of the highlighted words in this post! His products are available from Waitrose, Selfridges and on-line and I would love to know what you think of them.I am going to have my own personal tasting session, complete with inclusion in various recipes. I shall post my conclusions soon!!
Update!! Have just ordered my 3 types of Willie's cacao. Am now drooling in anticipation!!!!
